1/2 Empty? 1/2 Full?

I spoke before, in a previous post, about working with a Health and Wellness Coach.  The things she was able to teach me and share with me; amazing.  Truly.  I recommend, at some point in your life, if you have never worked with one, do it!  You could be struggling with life goals, self image, personal quests, eating right, healthier etc.

One thing I learned from her was "future pacing".  Future Pacing is a form of mental imagery (I call it belief) that describes what you want, as though you already have it.  It causes your brain to believe something has already happened.  For example, I have no vehicle at the moment.  Every day I wake and then again throughout the day, I say to myself, (very excited) "I am so happy I have a vehicle to go where I need to go".  By saying this and saying it like it has already happened and I am very happy about it, my brain believes I already have a vehicle.  This puts what I want out to the universe.

This future pacing really gives a person a whole new mindset and a good, happy feeling.  For me, the glass has always been half empty.  Now, with having learned some about myself and how to look at my life differently, I can tell you that the glass is half full - soon to be full.  My coach told me to say with excitement.  This gives the feeling that you really have accomplished the goal of achieving what you want.  We also did an exercise where she had me talk to her as though we hadn't seen each other for a while and were catching up.  Talk to her as though I had accomplished all I had set out to do, as though it was already achieved.  It actually felt pretty good.

Another thing that I read and she had talked to me about was doing some work in the mirror.  When you talk to someone, you can read their face, their body language.  You can tell how a person feels about what they are saying. I have a terrible self-image and always have had.  Talking to yourself in the mirror shows you the look on your face as you are saying these things.  You can see the same things when you speak to yourself in the mirror.  Talk to yourself without sounding like you are convincing yourself.  Say it like you MEAN IT!  Deep down, you KNOW its true.  So say it that way!!

If you want to read an author that can help explain a lot of this to you, check out Louise Hay.  Her books are truly amazing.  (trying to convince my life coach to write one)  When I read one of her books, I stopped every other sentence and said, "wow, that's ME!"  You will too.  Life doesn't have to be all gloom and doom.  I am discovering life gives you what you put into it.  YOU create your future.  Make it one you want to be in.

I know that I have a long way to go, personally, however, having been given the tools to work with and a great coach to refer to, I know that I will be able to accomplish all that I want.
